There, it would seem, is the only art supply store in the entire Coachella Valley. It's a small store, but The Art Colony has all my favourites, including the very darkest of Cadmium reds, made only by Grumbacher. I couldn't help myself, I had to get some ... plus a few other things!
We spied some Bird of Paradise and this flowering cactus so I had to pull over and photograph them.
While we were in Palm Desert we checked out the thrift stores and found little we were interested in. Then it was home for some patio sunshine time, before a BBQ chicken dinner.
